Per the team's transaction log, the Seattle Seahawks have waived wide receiver Nate McCollum. The North Carolina product signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent just a few weeks ago, but was let go by the team to make room for undrafted free agent tight end Mitch Van Vooren. McCollum totaled 143 receptions for 1,521 yards and five touchdowns over three seasons with Georgia Tech and two with the Tar Heels. His most productive year came in his final campaign at Georgia Tech when he had 60 catches for 655 yards and three scores. The Atlanta native also has experience as a kick returner. He'll seek a job elsewhere for the time being.
